Regulator Rectifier for Mercury Outboards 5 Wire - 883071:

Regulator Rectifier for Mercury Outboards late model - 5 Wire. 

Replaces Mercury part numbers 892114001, 883071. 

NOTE!!! Just because you have a 5 wire rectifier does NOT mean you should replace it with a 5-wire. 

Mercury superseded MANY of the 5-wire to the "883072T" 6-wire rectifiers. 

This new rectifier is a "5-Wire" and is designed for the following applications but may fit more: Mariner 25 HP 4 Stroke (0G960499 and Below), Mercury 30 and 40 HP 4-Stroke (0G960499 and Below), Mercury 40 and 45 Jet (manual) (mostly from Serial No. T178500 and up), Some Mercury 55 and 60 HP (3 cyl), Some Mercury 60 HP Bigfoot (3 cyl).

The terminals are designed as follows: Grey - Tach, Yellow - AC, Red (Male) - B+, Black - B, Yellow - AC.
