All API Marine new multi-position 42MT starters for CAT & Cummins are pre-adjusted at the factory with an SAE 1 drive end housing to mount correctly on the majority of applications. If a clearance problem is encountered, the multi-position drive end housing may simply be loosened and the starter rotated to the proper position. 

42MT Starters can be replaced with 50MT Starters when more cranking power is required.
